Christopher Smith is the 36-year-old married dad of a 7-year-old boy, a 3-year-old girl and an 18-month-old girl. He’s the author of Daddy On Board: Tales from the Front Seat, Volume 1 and is news editor at The Leaf-Chronicle in Clarksville, Tenn., where Daddy On Board has run weekly since May 2001.

Dr. Linda Nielsen is author of Embracing Your Father: How to Build the Relationship You Always Wanted with Your Dad (McGraw Hill, 2004). Nationally recognized expert on father-daughter relationships, Dr. Nielsen is a psychologist and professor at Wake Forest University who has worked with adolescent and adult daughters for over 30 years. She teaches the only college course in the country devoted exclusively to father-daughter relationships. Through her course, media interviews and website, she has helped thousands of fathers and daughters strengthen or reestablish their relationships--especially when the parents are divorced.
