DIVORCED PARENTS

An Ohio State University looked at the impact of divorce on children.

It showed that every indicator of academic progress, psychological well-being and behavior problems, children showed maladjustment even before the divorce of their parents.

For example, on average, students whose parents would later divorce scored lower on both math and reading tests than did students whose parents would stay together. They also showed more behavior problems in school and a less-positive self-concept.

But divorce, as traumatic as it is to everyone involved, doesn’t have to mean that your children are destined for a world of trouble.

It does, however, mean you’ve got something new to deal with.

That’s why we have this section that deal with divorced parents. Divorce involves divorced dads and divorced mom and here is where you’ll find an array of divorced parenting information.
